Getting Your Organization Ready for an Intern

Hosting a student intern can be a great way to bring new skills and perspectives into your organization, make progress on an important project, and provide real-world experience to an emerging professional. Join us for a conversation to learn about opportunities for working with undergraduate and graduate interns here in Connecticut, and strategies for ensuring that your organization and your intern both benefit from the experience. We'll be joined by:

  • Leah Glaser, Professor of History and Director, Public History Master's Program, Central Connecticut State University
  • Camesha Scruggs, Assistant Professor of History, Central Connecticut State University
  • Melissa Josefiak, CCSU Public History alumna; Director, Essex Historical Society and host of many interns
  • Olivia Grella, Marketing and Communications Director, Connecticut Landmarks; CCSU Public History master's student and former intern at Preservation Connecticut and Connecticut Explored
