Social Media Basics: Using Facebook as an effective tool for your Organization

Facebook is an ever-changing social media platform that can be an effective tool for your organization. Want to learn more about how it can be useful for your organization? Have a Facebook page, but are not sure how to use it? Come to this informal session that will take you through the basics of using Facebook. Bring a laptop/ipad and some ideas you have for posts (including text, images) and we will take you through the step-by-step process of building an effective post. Event and post creation, “liking,” “sharing,” and other Facebook methods will be covered. Participants will come away with a better understanding of how Facebook works and how to use it as an extension of your organization’s online presence. Facebook is your friend! Come learn how to make it work for you!

This workshop is designed to be "hands-on" so we encourage you to come equipped with your Facebook administrator permissions, and a laptop or ipad (or other internet-enabled device.) Light refreshments will be served.
