Special Members Event at Mystic Seaport...

A Guided Tour of the exhibit "SeaChange" and a special behind-the-scenes tour of collections storage.

Wednesday, April 26, 2017

FREE to CLHO members; $15.00 non-members  (Registration is limited to the first 30 registrants)

SeaChange, the inaugural exhibit in the Collins Gallery in the new Thompson Exhibition Building, presents a range of striking, surprising, and unusual objects drawn from the rich collections of Mystic Seaport. Each is a survivor of the past that speaks to a notable transformation—in material, technology, the sea itself, or the broader American culture over the past 200 years.

Join CLHO members for a dual tour of the new exhibit by museum staff, and of the Collections Research Center, which houses one of the premier maritime collections in the United States. Our host for the visit is Paul O'Pecko,  Vice President for Research Collections and Director of the G.W Blunt White Library.

This special tour is open to CLHO members free of charge. (Reminder! Institutional membership covers five staff or volunteers.) Registration is limited to 30 people, so register early.

Registrants should meet in the parking lot across from the North Entrance.
