Museum Education in Connecticut: What’s New, What’s Next?

Thursday, December 10, 3-5pm

Mattatuck Museum, 144 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT

The Connecticut Museum Educator Roundtable (CMER) and the Connecticut League of History Organization (CLHO) are joining forces to bring together museum educators from all disciplines for an open discussion of issues in the field and a chance to meet with colleagues and share ideas.

What’s on your mind? Aligning your programs to state curriculum standards? Working with volunteer educators? Making your museum more inclusive? Creating new types of visitor experiences? Articulating the value of museum education? Something else?

Come discuss common concerns, get some new ideas, and help us plan for the upcoming year of programs, activities, and networking opportunities. Our hosts from the Mattatuck Museum will share their art- and history-based education programs. Light refreshments provided.
